What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead a team of QA engineers, including coordinating and checking the work of external QA provided by clients.
- Define test cases, log them to the correct game features and suites, and create test plans.
- Assign test plans and follow up on progress throughout the development cycle.
- Having 1 on 1 and supporting QA team members in overcoming testing challenges.
- Report to the QA Manager on missing or non-working processes.
- Collaborate with other leads (Art, Tech, Production) to ensure quality across the project.
- Monitor build health, produce reports, and track issues across versions.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in QA within game development.
- Experience managing external QA engineers and integrating their work into the project.
- Strong understanding of build pipelines, version control, and branching processes.
- Experience testing and updating builds on PlayStation and Xbox using proprietary tools.
- Knowledge of the certification process for PS and Xbox.
- Proficiency with JIRA or YouTrack.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.
- Previous experience in cross-platform game QA for PS/Xbox.
Nice to Have but not required
- Experience with automated testing
- Knowledge of compliance & age rating processes
- Experience with live ops or post-launch QA
- Experience testing multiplayer/networked gameplay
- Familiarity with crash reporting (Crashlytics, Sentry, Unreal Crash Reporter)
