Responsibilities

  • Build, automate, and maintain cloud infrastructure for Whalebone’s core cybersecurity platform
  • Operate and manage containerized environments using Kubernetes and Docker
  • Design and implement solutions using CNCF tools (Prometheus, Argo, Helm) and technologies from vendors such as HashiCorp and Elastic
  • Deploy and operate systems across multiple cloud providers (mainly GCP), with a strong focus on portability and vendor independence
  • Monitor performance and troubleshoot production issues using Grafana, Prometheus, and related observability tools
  • Collaborate closely with backend engineers to ensure reliable delivery for global customers
  • Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous infrastructure improvement

 

Requirements

  • Strong Linux background and solid understanding of system internals
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (or OpenShift) in production environments
  • Proven experience in a Cloud Engineer / DevOps / SRE role
  • Basic programming or scripting skills (e.g. Bash, Python)
  • Good understanding of monitoring, observability, and CI/CD principles
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-growing environment


     

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of computer networking, especially DNS
  • Experience with CNCF projects, HashiCorp tools, Elastic, or ClickHouse
  • Experience operating systems at scale or in security-sensitive environments
